SALEM — City officials have announced the Salem Aquatic Center will open for the season on Saturday.
Following Phase 4 guidelines, the center will have a maximum of 200 guests at a time.
The Illinois Department of Public Health will allow the use of the bathhouse for those coming to swim.
No pool passes will be offered this year due to the late start of the season and uncertainty over future developments due to COVID-19.
Only prepackaged concession items will be available.
For friends and family members who wish to watch but not swim, tents will be set up outside the pool fence so they will not count towards the capacity of the pool.
