Kenny Morgan, 63, of Opdyke, Illinois, passed away at 3:09 pm July 30, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born April 22, 1959 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Jim O. and Betty Louise (Brown) Morgan. Kenny married Susan Westman on November 19, 1997 in Paducah, Kentucky. In addition to his beloved wife of twenty-four years, Kenny is survived by his daughter, Shelby Morgan of Opdyke, Illinois; sons, Bryan Morgan of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Brad Morgan and wife, Erin of Alma, Illinois; grandchildren, Danielle Morgan of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Brianna Morgan of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Braylee Morgan of Opdyke, Illinois; great-grandson, Waylon Tate of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brother-in-law, Michael Westman and partner, Chris Keene of New Castle, Delaware; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wallis and husband, Rick of Liberty, Missouri, Dawn Everett and husband, Chad of Norris City, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, aunt, and uncles.Kenny was a member of Farm Bureau and the NRA. He attended The Roads Church in Norris City. Kenny was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt. Two of his greatest passions were raising cattle and working at his nursery. Kenny was a loving husband and father, he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chad Everett officiating. Memorials may be made in Kenny’s honor to The Roads Church in Norris City.The funeral service will be available via zoom.
