CLINTON COUNTY — A 55-year-old Centralia woman has been sentenced in Clinton County Court to 14 years in prison for multiple retail thefts.

According to Clinton County State’s Attorney J.D. Brandmeyer, Cindy Britt had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of Class 4 felony retail theft for incidents that occurred at Walmart and Buchheit’s in Centralia in late 2021 and early 2022.

Britt was scheduled to be sentenced Friday, but just before sentencing, she negotiated a plea for three additional retail theft charges for incidents committed at Centralia Walmart between December 2022 and December 2023.

In exchange for all five offenses, Britt was sentenced to one eight-year term to be served consecutively with four six-year terms that will be served concurrently
