SELMAVILLE, IL — Two Centralia residents were injured when a motorcycle crashed Saturday night on Selmaville Road when hitting a dead dog in the roadway.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say 45-year-old Tara Cottrill of Centralia was driving the cycle when the crash occurred near Bryant Lane. Cottrill along with a 14-year-old female passenger from Centralia were both taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.

Cottrill was later airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital for medical treatment.
