MT. VERNON – Four Jefferson County Sheriff’s employees were publicly recognized for their recent promotions at Monday night’s Jefferson County Board Meeting.

Sheriff Jeff Bullard says Captain Bonnie May, the new Jail Administrator; 1st Lieutenant Jennifer Hails, the new Assistant Jail Administrator; 2nd Lieutenant Sarah Lockwood; and Sergeant Mike O’Neal were all thanked by those in attendance for their service and congratulated for their achievements.

The sheriff says there were many fine candidates to choose from, and the selection committee had a hard job making sure the right applicants were chosen, and they were.
