Nellie Faye Cameron, 78, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 4:18 PM October 30, 2024 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born October 24, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Thomas Wray and Evelyn (Carpenter) Wray. Nellie married Paul Cameron on June 25, 1966 at the Bluford Baptist Church in Bluford, Illinois.

Nellie is survived by Daughter, Paula Bruce and husband Dale of Wayne City, Illinois; Son, Travis Cameron and wife Teresa of Bluford, Illinois; Three Sisters, Violet Mae Spangler of Bluford, Illinois, Martha Payne and husband Russell of Ina, Illinois, Ruby Goldman and husband David of Bluford, Illinois; Brother, Jim Wray and Special Friend Janet Wilkey of Bluford, Illinois;  Five Granddaughters, Holly Schuster and husband Reegan of McLeansboro, Illinois, Kourtney Belangee of Bluford, Illinois, Brittany Sanders and husband Stu of Centralia, Illinois, Kelsey Wilkes and husband Devin of Salem, Illinois, Alexis Cameron of Bluford, Illinois; Grandsons, Jacob Reyling of Dahlgren, Illinois, and Clayton Bruce of Wayne City, Illinois; Eight Great-Grandchildren, Jolee Schuster, Eva Schuster, Elsie Schuster, Lucy Schuster, Riley Johnston, Kamryn Belangee, Tatum Sanders, and Raegan Sanders; Four Sister-In-Laws, JoAnn Miller of Dix, Illinois, Wilma Dobsch of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Delores Fish of Rockford, Illinois, Saundra Manley of Mount Vernon, Illinois; .

Nellie was preceded in death by her Husband, Paul Cameron, Father, Thomas James Wray, Mother, Evelyn Pearl Carpenter, Granddaughter, Madison Cameron, Grandson-In-Law, Tres Belangee and Nephews, Roy Dale Seidel and Craig Payne.

Nellie was a member of the Bluford Baptist Church.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 5PM to 8PM at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10AM at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, IL with Reverend Brian Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Nellie’s honor to the Charity of the Donors Choice.
