Lonnie D. Griffin, age 66, passed away on February 17, 2025.

He was born February 3, 1959 in Kankakee, Illinois to the late Merle and Violet (Sommer) Griffin. He was raised in and graduated from St Anne, IL schools. He married Sandra Haines on August 18, 1984 and she survives him.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Griffin is survived by a sister, Darlene and husband Bob Turner of Illinois; a son Jeremy S. Griffin and wife Ashley of MA; two daughters, Amanda K. and Ashley A. Griffin of Illinois; one grandson, Oliver Griffin of MA and an unborn grandchild also of MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Karon Menard; and a brother, Larry Griffin.

Mr. Griffin was an over the road truck driver for many years. He worked for several companies throughout his career, retiring in 2023 after driving well over a million miles. He received several driving awards but was most proud of his accident free Million Miles Award. He enjoyed driving, riding his Harley, grilling, his family, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
