FAYETTE COUNTY — Authorities have arrested two suspects in the weekend theft of two vehicles from a Vandalia auto dealership.
According to police, officers responded Sunday morning to a report of fuel being taken from two vehicles at the Arthur Young dealership. Upon arrival the officers found that two vehicles with dealer plates had been stolen from the dealership.
The two vehicles were later recovered in Bond County, and two suspects were arrested around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities confirm the suspects are juveniles and were in custody Sunday night in Bond County for alleged possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Fayette County authorities are seeking arrest warrants for the two juveniles on burglary and motor vehicle theft charges.
