CENTRALIA — An Illinois State Police roadside safety check in Centralia over the weekend resulted in multiple arrests, including two for alleged drug violations.
According to police, a 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested after a small amount of cannabis was noticed when the vehicle pulled into the safety check area.
The juvenile reportedly admitted to having meth in the vehicle and also to selling it. A search also reportedly revealed multiple meth and cannabis pipes in the vehicle.
He was arrested for alleged manufacture with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of meth, and two counts possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 20-year-old Casey man was also arrested on drug charges during the safety check. Brandon Clements was taken into custody for alleged possession of less than five grams of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The safety check operation also resulted in the arrests of two people on outstanding warrants, and one for driving while license suspended or revoked.
